HPE kicks off Verity suite with Information Archiving

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has announced a new suite of enterprise information management products and services. The first component is Verity Information Archiving.

HPE Verity is intended to help manage, govern and extract actionable insights from enterprise information.

The idea is to couple a single source of truth with a range of applications to suit particular purposes.

Verity will connect existing data silos, using HPE's Vertica big data system for analytics and visualisation.

{loadposition stephen08}The suite will be deployable across a range of public and private cloud infrastructures, including AWS and HPE Helion/OpenStack, thus taking care of data sovereignty issues.

"The market is cluttered with disparate solutions that manage business information, but rarely do these technologies work seamlessly with one another," said HPE APJ vice-president of information management, Brian Clark.

"By delivering a single source of truth — aligning directly to the Verity name  we're providing customers with a single-index solution that will help them manage and extract value from a wide array of content, and will help position them to make more informed business decisions and compete at global scale."

The first product is Verity Information Archiving, designed to allow organisations to govern information in accordance with compliance, legal, and operational needs.

It is primarily aimed at midmarket organisations that face enterprise-scale problems in this area while lacking the internal resources to address them.
